About

Hanna Wood

Indie Singer/Songwriter

Hanna Wood is a Bristol-based indie, alternative and rock singer-songwriter creating nostalgia-driven, emotionally honest music rooted in storytelling and connection. Her music blends indie, alternative and rock with a distinctive lyrical voice, exploring identity, vulnerability, resilience, and the complexities of lived experience.

A queer, neurodivergent and disabled artist living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Hanna’s work is deeply shaped by her lived experiences and a desire to create spaces where people feel seen, understood, and connected. Through her songwriting, she explores both the highs and lows of life with honesty, humour, and heart, creating music that resonates strongly with live audiences.

With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music from the University of Bristol, Hanna combines technical understanding with a deeply personal creative practice. She writes, performs, and develops all of her original material, allowing each song to evolve naturally across indie, alternative and rock influences while remaining united through storytelling and emotional authenticity.

Hanna has built a growing live presence across Bristol, performing all-original sets at festivals, venues, community events, and charity fundraisers. Her performance experience includes a paid set at the Rugby World Cup Bristol Fan Zone, multiple appearances at Trinity Centre, performances at the St Paul’s Church Music Marathon charity event, repeat performances for Christian Aid fundraising events, and a paid performance at the Culture West Cultural Summit at Bristol Beacon. She was also a commissioned artist with Creative Youth Network, helping further develop both her artistic practice and connections within Bristol’s creative community.

Alongside her live work, Hanna has cultivated an engaged audience of almost 20,000 followers on TikTok through livestream performances, original music, and behind-the-scenes content. Through her growing community of “Woodlings,” she has created a welcoming, queer-affirming, neurodivergent-friendly space that extends her artistic practice far beyond the stage.

Following the release of her mini indie rock EP in late 2025, Hanna recently released her latest single, Queer Romance—a celebration of queer love, connection, and the quiet moments of understanding that often transcend words. Accompanied by a professionally produced music video created by a team of queer and/or neurodivergent women, the project reflects the values of representation, accessibility, and authentic storytelling that sit at the heart of her work.

Hanna is currently preparing for the release of a new 5-track EP, featuring her upcoming single Daggers, which continues her exploration of indie, alternative and rock through nostalgia-driven storytelling and emotional honesty. Alongside this, she is also completing a 10-track album, marking an exciting next chapter in her ongoing artistic development.
